Stretch with Body Align for a balanced energy
Sometimes taking a shower and eating a healthy breakfast isn’t enough to curb your morning lethargy.
Ever noticed your body’s need to stretch after sitting or being inactive for long intervals? Turn your body’s natural reaction into a routine!
Completing a daily 10-minute full-body stretching routine can increase muscle flexibility and improve blood circulation.
When you start off, these stretches may be uncomfortable. But with time, it becomes easier and super relaxing to extend your muscles.
Here are some effective stretches to start off your day:
1. Neck Roll
Stand up straight with your arms lose and chin dipping towards your chest. Roll your head in a clockwise motion for 7 seconds. Rest and repeat in anticlockwise motion.
2. Shoulder Roll
Raise your shoulders and roll them back in a circular motion. Then reverse the movement, rolling them forward.
3. Behind-Head Tricep Strech
Extend your left arm backward until the elbow is close to your head. Hold the left upper arm with your right hand and press down. Repeat with your right arm.
4. Standing Hip Rotation
Slowly move your hips forward, then rotate clockwise for 3 rotations. Bring your hips back to the center and repeat the movement anticlockwise
5. Ankle Roll
Stand on your right foot’s toes, keeping your heel off the ground. Roll your right foot in a clockwise direction for 10 rotations, then repeat anticlockwise. Do the same for the left foot.
